Ticket to Work
The Ticket to Work program was established to give
Social Security Administration (SSA) disability beneficiaries greater choice in
obtaining the services they need to help them go, or return, to work. MAXIMUS is the Program Manager and is
contracted with SSA to manage the overall Ticket to Work program. WEDCO Employment Center, Inc. is an approved
Employment Network (EN), working in partnership with MAXIMUS to deliver
employment services to ticket beneficiaries in Arizona.
Under
the Ticket to Work program, WEDCO is able to help ticket beneficiaries with
their employment needs by providing career counseling and job placement
services and help them to achieve long and meaningful careers.
The first step for a ticket beneficiary to take is to contact our WEDCO office in Phoenix or Tucson and someone will make an appointment to review your status and to explain and answer any pertinent questions about our services under this program. Once we agree to work together and we are able to verify that the ticket is “assignable” to us, services can begin almost immediately. An individual Work Plan (IWP) will be developed and, once the plan is approved, the job search & placement process begins. Once place, regular follow-along services will continue to ensure the job is a good match for both the ticket beneficiary and the employer, and to ensure that employment is secured.
